And now we have some solid connections. I have to put the fairing back on to test since the front signals are mounted on the bodywork, but hopefully this will remedy the running lights. I think my measurements were a little off, but this should do. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Success, sort of. Apparently what ever I did to pop the fuse also killed one of the two bulbs. 12v-1.7w. Sheesh. image.jpg

image.jpg image.jpg First fit up in months for the tail. Hard mounting the seat made me nervous, but everything lined right up! Soooooo stoked! Even my passenger seat release lined up. Still waiting on rear MC parts and we hit the road!

in my expert opinion, it looks like possible rodent damage on wires due the innate propensity to chew upon things like insulation. common in some areas during long sitting.

just one idea: delete the crude worm-drive hose clamp {its gross}from the fluid reservoir line, and find something slicker, more hi-tech.

image.jpg Upon SM request, a cleaner locking method. New kit installed in original master. Bingo, I can now torque the wheel nut to 87ft lbs using the brake. Yeww! Not that it won’t be covered up by bodywork, but a prime example of powder coating issues (threads above coolant hose).

Did you give it to them with a bolt threaded in there?

Nice. Keep an eye on that, you might need to switch to something with a little more clamping surface and pressure, but still better looking than a hose clamp.

nah, because on the VFR750 they coated over the bolt and upon removal it removed way more then just the threaded area. Can’t win either way so I just tap and file everything before final install. PITA, But I am way more choosy about what I get done by them. Even with that buildup, this frame came out way better than the 750 as well.

Buy 2 clamps. Maybe you can find a colorfully-anodised version of this common stock item for the top of the tube, instead of just a cap to keep nasty brake fluid in its place.

Use the standard clamp and then safety wire it. Resize22.jpg

In some situations it is best to go clean and simple. You can't use an AN fitting there, unless you wanna do a whole lot of fucking around to make an adapter that fits the master cylinder. Not worth it, as it's mostly hidden by the heel guard anyway.
