Should be VF - not VFR - right?

    Just listed 5 hours ago.

Hello thank you for looking at my motorcycle. This is a 1984 Honda VFR 750 Interceptor. this was restored completely by a father and son a few years back the gas tank had a small pinhole in it which I sent out to be fixed and never got back. It is as nice as you will find. It will run on bottle gas until you find a Gas Tank. Only 14K original miles. Just about everything on. It is either new or new old stock. Also has an amazing set of KERKER period correct dual exhaust.

15 photos, including the two below, plus a video - but not showing it running.

The fact that she's in Daytona - is a huge factor for me.

If I didn't already have two of them, I'd be tempted to pursue. Not at that price but something below $2K.

Bike would have to run, have a clear title, and have the right keys.

Hope she finds a good home.......

Price has now been lowered to $1,500...."firm".

I messaged the seller about VFR vs VF and he says the VIN code suggests it's a VFR. I asked him to send me a closeup of the VIN plate and also to confirm it starts and runs off a bottle.

I wonder if it's worth pursuing, providing it starts and runs OK. Says it has a clear Florida title. I do have a fuel tank for it - colors wouldn't match up but would still work.

I've always said if the bike in in my area (this one is in Daytona - 15 minutes away) I would consider another purchase.

Do I need an intervention?!? :homer:

It's a VF but at $1500 the owner can say what he wants... who cares!

If the paerwork is there and accurate and the bike strts up with no smoke or strange noises I would. I mean you have a tank, the bike looks complete.

It looks like it has a full Kerker exhaust and not just slip-ons. Hmmm... looking better every time I look at it.

Yeas and looks very complete and original except for the Kerkers....which actually is arguably an upgrade!

Very tempting that it's so close by. And I got a 2nd storage unit! :D

I may go look at it but would have to be Monday because I don't like weekend traffic around here.

    Stay tuned.....

Curious Six, how you know these are not slip ons?

The reason I ask is I've only seen single Kerkers on the Interceptors I've bought....and when they had factory exhaust.....it was always twins.......

Oh OK thanks...didn't know about that. If I see her in person, I guess I'll know just by looking at the exhaust closeup and maybe the seller will also have more details. Sounds like he has some historical knowledge....

Def FULL exhaust. Aftermarket shock too, although the reservoir is odd for a Fox TC, which is what they usually have. The canister is a little long and the red knob is too thick.

    Interesting.

Sure looks to be in pretty damn good condition.

Edit: Just noticed the painted insets around the vents on the upper cowl. Wonder what that's about? Don't hate it, it's just odd.
