Anyone using the superbike stand on a 5th gen? I assembled mine today and am concerned about the fitting kit. The right side seems secure but the left side male adapter doesn’t fit very far or snug into the swing arm bolt. It only goes in up to the taper and that’s not a tight fit. The last picture is as far in as it goes.

Ootv and a few others have the ABBA Stands and should be able to answer your question.

That amount of pin tn the swing arm bolt may be enough when tightened down because the stand clamps it from both sides.

I made a copy of the Sky Lift version and my "pins" are not interchangable (because I only have the VFR at this time).

    Thanks.

The pins for the 5th gen are specific for this model. I don’t know if they are interchangeable with other bikes.

3 Years ago had the same issue with my stand. Kit 021 which they assigned to 5th Gen's does not have the correct pin. They said I was the first person to bring this issue to them. Write to info@abbastandsusa.com and tell them you need a 12mm pin.

Below is the pic I used to explain the situation. According to Abba, the pin should go all the way to the area that's 13mm on the pin they include in Kit 021 which does not fit in the 12mm hole on the swingarm

    Good luck

Thank you so much, I will inform Abba and let them know this is still an issue. I’ll let everyone know the outcome.

I reached out to Abba and they sent me the 12mm pin. Tirso, is this the same pin they sent you? It fits much better but still doesn’t go in very far. The new pin is on the right.

Yes, that's the same one I have. As they told me, "the fin should go all the way in until it hits the large taper"
One thing I did was used 3M molding tape to keep the pin in the pin holder. Keeps the pin in place. I'll send a pic tomorrow.

For the right side pin, red bearing grease (Mobil 1) creates enough suction to keep the pin in place as I load/unload the bike. Though for the left side pin, the grease was not doing the job. Many times during loading/unloading the pin would fall out and leave a messy red grease trail as it rolled around. I used 3m double sided molding tape and solved the problem.
