get on the ball, jim. :dom: thats worthy of rejuvenating isnt it, and youre just the man to do it and need a new project.

everybody knows texas is big but grab a trailer, the mileage cost to rescue it shouldnt be excessive compared to what the plastic alone is worth. kinda like rescuing a stray dog but without fleas although it might have a few red texas fire ants.

we cant let ignorant ppl toss bikes like this piece of motorcycle history into trash bins.

Yeah that one would be a monument to my foolishness. I hope it is not another FB no responder like that VF1000R was a few weeks back.

All that plastic added up might be worth 300, maybe. Can see the seat cowl damage even in the potato pics, I'd bet all tabs are busted. Serious parts only bike.

Those plastics legitimately look better than the crap I'm working with.

I bought a similarly left to die VFR750F a couple years ago. But it sat in a driveway, not dirt, and still had the tank (and airbox) in place. I knew the engine was good and it had a title. I got it home and just started removing things and throwing them straight away, like the WHOLE brake system front and rear. Wasn't even worth my time to see what I could save. The brake fluid sight windows had long cracked away and sat in the rain.

But I also don't need those components to rebuild it, I have plenty.
