Hello all. I currently looking to purchase a 5th generation VFR. I owned a 99vfr until a tragic accident ended its life. I know the riding season is almost up, but the way the weather has been acting, who knows. Feel free to get in touch, once I get back on two wheels, theres no stopping me.

:welcome: You truly have your priorities in order on what to look for, best deals are always in the winter so were hoping you'll be back on two wheels by spring, good luck on your quest

Thanks, right now Im trying to decide whether or not to pursue this vfr I found in Kentucky. 98 vfr, completely stock except for seat, 6th gen mirrors and throttle control (unsure what this is), Mature rider, ex MSF instructor and well maintained. 12k miles asking 4500.

    What do you think?

Plan is not to purchase a bike until December, so I have not made a decision yet.

I'm guessing he has a throttlemeister cruise control, upgraded seat is diffently a plus and we all know how ugly those 5th gen mirrors are, if the fairings are mint it sounds like a good deal...

Go ahead and get yourself an early christmas present, that way you get some riding in before the snow starts flying..

Where are you located at in Illinois?

You didn't really move far. How close are you to St Louis Downtown Parks Airport? That place can be a bit noisey at times.

Lol, about 1 or 2 miles. And yes youre right, it can get a little noisy. To be honest its not that bad, I'll take the airport over the many trains that pass through the other part of town, any day.
