I'm thinking the wrench/socket that came with the tool kit would be the best.

What have you found to be other alternatives, if any?

    Thanks!

The one out the the tool kit, by far. It is thin enough to get into the well. It is just the right height to get around the corner and then sticks up just the right amount. Sure, you might get an 1/8 of a turn then have to flip your wrench over to get another 1/8, and repeat. Worth it.

If the engine is out or the radiator is removed and the tank is off, I have a Snap-On that is thin wall enough to get into the well.

my favorite super-useful factory tool kit wrench is hond's, the box-end offset combinaation wrench 10mm and 12mm. :p perfectly designed to fit the sparkplug socket front or rear cylinders.

sorry i cant find a photo but im sure someone will.

Just think.... some guy in Japan back in the 70's took months and months designing the HONDA SPARK PLUG WRENCH. I remember my 1975 CB550F had that wrench WAYYYY back then. Honda ...you gotta love 'em

The best one is the one that works. I still have a thin wall socket attached to an extension with electrical tape that I used 18 years ago. It worked great, so never tried for anything else.

I gotta say i'm not usually pulling the plugs unless i've already got other stuff out, and then a basic thin wall socket with a rathcet works great for me.

It's the kit from the VF1000R. The best Honda tool kit I've come across... well, at least on a bike I've owned.

This is from the 1976 Gold Wing LTD

Under no circumstances would I use a cat to contribute to spark plug removal...regardless of the vehicle. :)

Joey Dunlop is a great shop helper. Freddie Spencer is now guarding them for me.
