I broke off the clip on another bike and was planning to use gorilla tape to see if I could give it a tighter grip. Think I'll give 220 grit a try first based on what sounds like your success on many bikes. Thanks.

I used some 3M Super Bond (black silicone) to apply it to the ID. Worked great. The only thing I would be leary of is trying to hold an actual throttle housing.

I was able to fashion and glue in a pin out of a small metal bar--but it has tiny little bit of spin it allows. It is a throttle housing unfortunately. I think some grippy tape and/or the 220 grit as you've used might be able to remove any of the remaining little slip though.

I have used that 3M 2 sided tape with success. I have also done aluminum tape shims. 3M so far. Looking good Capt!

After a bath and up to temp...

Video sound doesn't do it justice, but it still sounds pretty sick. Revs up so fast.

Well... keeping this winterizing Christmas train rolling. Up on the lift...

    PXL_20231221_024620800[1].jpg

This is the last big bike... I think. Got the NS50F still to drain the carb and pull the battery and I need to run the ST1100, Rain Bike 86 VFR750F and the XL600R. Then go thru a handful of Vintage bikes, but those all have Non-Ethanol.

I was sharing some pics last night after taking the pic above. This is as good a place as any to share, you might enjoy. If not, piss off. ;-)

This isn't even all of my current helmets... I have a problem.

    PXL_20231221_030806933[1].jpg

Retirements go up. Spencer Supervent was my 16th Birthday present. Schwantz was my 2nd street helmet. MX Arai on the left was my first real off road helmet.

    PXL_20231221_030827007[1].jpg

I still have my Hot Wheels and Matchbox from childhood. When I was about 9 or so, I individually wrapped them and put them in a box to save them. I was a fucking collector / hoarder already!!

    PXL_20231221_033253242[1].jpg

The blue metal Tonka Trunk and white metal Nylint Semi were mine too and I boxed those up around the same time. They never saw dirt.

    PXL_20231221_033622232[1].jpg

I recently sold my AFX Slot Car collection. I had A LOT. I kept my 4 favorite cars.

    PXL_20231221_033329365[1].jpg

I kept all of the track that had broken tabs. I'm going to "build" a track on a wall or ceiling with a power section, transformer, guns and a couple cars adhered for a display... one of these days.

My friend who painted the Arai Spencer Storm Trooper painted this "portrait" for my birthday.

    PXL_20231221_031545793[1].jpg

I hope you enjoy, I think there's a few of us close in age that will appreciate.

    Great share Capt!
Don't even get me started. I still have a ton of stuff from my childhood and more recently surf boards. I told my wife I need to stop collecting and just start enjoying the use of the boards and bikes more. :)
