Lovely though that NR is... For something classic like that I'd be wanting all the original bits included in the sale!

 

That is my opinion too. Don't get me erong, tbe bike is super sexy but it is a collector bike that was repainted and modified.

 

straycat needs it for his collection to finally totally one-up everybody here now and forever.

I kinda like the idea of 2 NRs and a spare engine. One in my den, one in the garage that gets ridden, and a spare OVAL PISTON engine for the one I'm putting miles on.

And then I woke up.

 

It's not like you'd easily find another one on ebay if the original developed a problem!

It gets to the point with older stuff that people don't dare use the bikes because you can't get spares and that becomes even more of a problem when it was rare (and expensive) too! I'm all for someone having a spare engine lying around if it means something like that still gets used!

 

I got one!! X-Mas present to myself...
