And welcome... look forward to following along. Just "refreshed" a fresh 95, but I am on the home stretch on a fairly nasty, but worthy, 92.

On the bike paint work... I might have waited until I knew the clutch wasn't gonna slip. ;-)

Why are your preload adjusters buried? With the proper springs and pre-load spacers, you should be able to start with them ~3/4 way out and then fine tune what might be still needed.

sprayed-over bolt heads on clutch cover may show rushed, careless work overlooking finer details. a big turnoff imo, wherever they are.

Unfortunelly the previous owner did that , making impossible to me to restore to original state , so i didnt care about it , because already ordered new ones.

Some people on this site are so heartess regarding interjecting their own personal tastes and feelings, vfr HEL.jpg strictly speaking of course. Nice yab on the refurb, there will always be people that are nay-sayers regarding restoring (getting up and running) vehicles, I say "Eff em."

Your front end looks like it needs some different pre-load spaces, just saying. What about the carbs on this bike? New insulator bands may help as well as doing a t-stat replacement, since your in there in there anyway. Well, good luck with the project - nice pictures, remember to use shrink tubing on your crimpted/butt-connectors. PeaCe

Thx for your words ,you´re very kind , perhaps ppl dont realise , that sometimes the resources are not such available in some countrys like mine , this motorcycle is very rare here. Parts are rare and costs alot , most already damaged. So we need to work with what we have.

Im new to the VFR , coming from other styles ( Honda shadows and Moto guzzis) , just trying to apply what i have learned with other projects i have done.

This VFR is a personal project , only own it for one week , so it is something to be done slowly .

The suspension was done by the preview owner , ah he said to me that he messed with the config to make it more stiff , also applied VFR800 Steering handles ( 20 milimeters taller ) , maybe thats why seems diferent from the picture from yours.

About Shrink tubing , already using (transparent) it in every parts i touch/ refresh. Next will be the headlights conectors and all those connectors clutch side.

Everything is looking great. Totally get working with what you have.

We are not talking about how much fork is sticking out of the top of the handlebars, we're talking about the adjusters with the slot in the middle of the caps. Sounds like they might have just gave it full preload (adjusted all the way in) when they said they firmed up the suspension.

    Keep up the good work!

Oh... You're saying that if I mess with that top screw I can change stiffness?

What am I missing? There's a ton of adjustment lest each way from what I can see in the photos.
