If you were buying a used bike, ohhh lets say 7or 8 years old would 60k on the clock keep you from buying it? Iknow with cars they 100k is about the life expectancy but what about a bike:confused:

IMO, that depends greatly on the person selling it, what type of bike/motor is it and what type of mechanical maladies that particular bike/motor has had, how it has been cared for, appearance, and of course, PRICE!

A guy was selling a VFR750 here in san diego late last year with 105k on the clock for around $1500 (A guy on here bought it I think), and it looked nice from the pics, knowing that, and having seeing at least 5 other VFR in SD for sale with over 60k, I might be inclined to buy for the right price and if appropriate care was taken of the bike/motor. As you know, VFR V-4's are built to last, but other inline four bangers, I am not so sure of with high mileage.

my bike is 10 yrs with over 50k so I'd say if they took care of it and the price is good you are good. VFRs have been known to go a long long way. There are several over 100k.

I dont think 60k is too much on some bikes - but in looking for a new ride there are quite a few low mile examples out there to not pass up even if they may cost a few more bucks at purchase. Thats just me - I look at miles first.

100k? don't tell that to my 260k '94 Dodge Ramcharger that still runs like new. 100k was the standard back in the 70's, vehicles built since the mid 90's will easily go 200k.
As far as bikes I woulnt touch one with 60k unless it was real cheap. For me 25k would be the outer limit. Not because a bike won't last over 100k, but because of the unkowns of how many owners, how it was maintained/ridden, etc.

I bought my '00 last year about this time with 7200 miles for less than 4 grand. Try Craigslist.
