    Anyone else riding the VFR to the show in San Mateo this weekend? The wife and I will be attending. We have a reservation for the Marriot in San Mateo for Saturday if any of Bay Area riders want to meet up. We'll do the show on Sat and cruise back home on Sunday probably taking a twisty route if anyone wants to ride part or all...

    Just flew up to Palo Alto today and I was in Oakland two weeks ago for work... I've already exceeded my NorCal limit for the year. ;)

    I will be attending the Long Beach show next month though.

    :whoo: Wooo hooo...I will be hitting the Long Bitch show as well. What day you gonna be there Mr. SLO? You gonna call the ball and do a fly by as well?? I think I am rolling up for Daaaayyygo on Saturday, December 8th. Maybe some of the VFR brotherhood can meet up for a rendevous. I was gonna ride the bike, but the gf is coming, and she is not so fond of straight up freeway riding, so we might take the :car:. Too be continued....


    Anybody else going to the Long Beach show? Anybody, Bueller, Bueller?? :confused:

    I might go again just to meet some of you guys down south. That is pretty close to when I'm flying out to MO, though so I'm not sure if I can make it. You should do the north one cause the roads are more fun!

    Dan, if I do go down there, I'll try to ride down with you. What day you leavin and comin back?

    Right now, it's looking like Sunday the 9th for Dong Beach. As lame as this sounds, I think we're flying down again since it's going to be just a day trip. Rich does 24's and doesn't get off shift until 8am. Probably wheels up at 9:30 in SLO if you want join in the fun. Still working out a few details.

    the show was a bit of a letdown. there were lots of nice bikes but somehow I expected more. there did not seem to be nearly as many vendors as I expected. I guess it's because my last bike show was at the moto GP which was much cooler. many more customs and just about as many factory bikes. I did get a look at a couple new ones that just were in the magazines. I'll try and get some pics up wed night.

    I spent so many years doing trade shows, that none really impress me.

    I expected a little more out of last year's long beach show, but again that's my LEAST favorite convention center in the US and I spent 5 birthdays in a row there as an exhibitor... Plus doing 2 other shows a year there.

    They all make me want to vomit.

    I am looking forward to going to see a few new things (although it's mostly old news), hang out with my crazy SoCal friends and the fact that I'm NOT exhibiting. That's the real novelty for me.

    I'd like to say hot chicks too, but I'm kinda picky after all the surf industry shows. The biker biaches just aren't that hot compared to the Reef Girls.

    Yeah, that looks like a better show than this one. I didn't even see any scantily clad umbrella girls. There were a few girls here and there, but nothing much. Anyway, let's dig out some pics...
