Did you make your own template or did someone have something already formed?

Made a template with thin cardboard. Something along the thickness of the cardboard for a soda 12 pack works the best, IMO. Once I had the template, my buddy cut it out with his plasma cutting table. You will also need to spin up two spacers if you use the heal guard/master mounting holes to mount it. That was the cleanest way, IMO.

Kinda what I figured. Card board has been my go to in the past. I have access to a water jet so I just need to make the card board template.

So jackwad ( formerly known as previous owner ) hacked the harness at both end for some unknown reason. Today I got the tail light sorted using a Japanese schematic and ohm meter. Viola! Taillights! image.jpg image.jpg

Looks like someone is getting a Tyga body kit and LED's. That wiring is cringey.

Almost there! Stay on target! Yes I know it says VFR400. Shut up…preemptively. ✌️ image.jpg
The harness was crazy but I managed to locate all of the right wires. All my digs work and tail light with the LED conversion.. image.jpg

yo Norcal, do you have a DXF file for the heat shield? I can make my own no biggie, but I like the look of your shield.

Looking killer. Liking the muffler bracket.

Why are the peg heights so different left to right?

Thanks! I figure purist will twist in their seat on the build. hahaha

This bike came with the lever set on the left side of the bike (much lower and further back). It has a much longer custom shift rod than stock. I don't have the right length (stock) shift rod in hand yet. So, I left the old set on for a test ride to see how the transmission goes. By the time I get the bike put back together for that test ride, I will probably have the right parts. lol

So this was a fun find. Jackwad torqued down the air box so hard that the head were already stripped when I got to them. Thanks to you forum peeps I used methods previously discussed in other threads and removed what was left. Yay…bastard. Lol 54C8358D-342B-4B11-AEF2-962C7DDC6877.jpeg image.jpg

Sorry, man I don't. Saw your message and asked my guy and he said he trashed it, didn't think it would be needed again.

For future reference, there is a guy on Ebay who will make any length you want in ti. They are nice and he doesn't charge a lot for them.
