Stopped by the river for a little break

Hmmm.... maybe a snack would be good.

Think I'll have some warmed up left over pizza.

I've never seen one for a bike. my neighbour put a homemade one on the exhaust of his snowmobile for a snack on the trail. he would come up to people ice fishing and they would say "why does it smell like sausage out here?"

I actually got it when we sold Yamaha snow machines. Just been waiting for the right bike with the right exhaust spot. I'm gonna smoke some sausage for the next ride.

Oh yeah, my pizza was warmed up and the cheese was nicely melted again. When we get into some warmer summer weather it will be perfect for smoked sausages.

This's awesome! I had no idea such an item existed.

I'm thinking about how funny it would be to put one on a bike at a track day. Go to tech in the morning and have to explain what it is and why it's carrying a sausage and egg burrito on the exhaust. Or maybe toss it in a session or two before lunch. Lmao.

you love mods, so i'm surprised you haven't done the rear brake line through the swingarm mod as it looks ultra kool and tidies up the bike. ;)

seems like few-to-none of the VFR riders do it, dunno why.

Hah! I already have the brake line and the plan. I'm waiting until I completely tear the Hawk down for "Resto". ;-)

For me, it seems to solve nothing. Is it just for people who think that it looks better?

Lots of Hawks don't run chain guards, so it "solves" routing. Not sure if I'm ultimately gonna run a chain guard or not. If I do it will be a trimmed down unit and I may still run thru the arm.

The Hawk with it's linkage-less swingarm has nothing in the way of the hose easily exiting thru casting openings near the pivot for a nice shot to the rear master. The VFR swingarm with linkage has the shock right in the way, so exiting becomes more challenging.

VFR owners are probably way more likely to keep chain guards in place too. I do on my 95 and will likely also on the 92.

Honestly, the only reason I didn't put mine on was it is absolutely CAKED in shit and I haven't felt like playing with gas on it yet. But when I do get it clean, it will be trimmed to be fairly minimal on the sides and I might remove the hose guides, because running thru the arm is so easy on the Hawk.

I modded a cable guide to keep it off the chain for now.

Thanks for the info. It must be a lot different than my CB-1, at least it looks that way.

Single sided swingarm, so yeah, a lot different. Brake line has to go on the left, over the chain, like your VFRs.
