Title says all, really. My bike recently stopped running and after a bit of trouble shooting I've narrowed it down to the fuel pump relay. I do want to order a new one, but am not looking forward to the month it'll take to get here! So has anyone converted that relay to just a simple toggle switch? I figure it should be fine if I just shut it off when I turn the bike itself off.

    Bike is a 92 750.

    A month to get a part !!

Would be upset if local Honda dealer did not have if after 2 days or 3 days if mail ordered from an online dealership such as David Silvers or Fowler's.

    I can try!
I normally order from Partzilla, I don't think I've received anything faster than 2 weeks from them.

When your relay arrives, consider wiring it and the switch in parallel. Still have the "safety" of the relay and also the convenience of priming the system (like after winter storage or sitting a while) with a switch. And you can also then get home if (when) the new relay fails out in the middle of nowhere.

I do it on all of my bikes.
