    Thought it would be fun to see what other people have come up with on their personalized license plates. Post your plates and describe what they mean. Look forward to see what other people come up with.

    I think someone did this thread a while back. Mine is too easy to mention, but it can be found in many of my photos...

    Although I like the look of them, ya know, I never prescribed to the vanity plate method. Number one reason, you are easily recognizable. For instance, this jerkoff cut me off the other day at the mall, and I remember seeing their license plate. Low and behold, I was running around my neighborhood the other day, and bingo, there is it. Now I know where mr asshole lives! hahaha!

    I thought that for a while, but then I thought if someone can read my plate, I'm not doin too much evil. Plus, I don't mind people recognizing me usually. I had someone come up to me in a bike shop and ask if I was the guy who did the ride reports online. I was able to tell someone else about VFRWorld that may not have known.

    Quoting George Costanza from Seinfeld "I don't want to be remembered, I want to be forgotten!" (for those non-Seinfeld fans....this was in regards to having sex with a virgin, being a locked in memory forever as their first one)

    Plates

    I searched for a discussion regarding personalized plates and didn’t find anything, so I thought it would be fun as the username discussion. If you don’t want to let people know your plate, don’t post it. I apologized if I touched a sore subject, but I still think it could be fun. Hope you all are having fun riding. I am on my way to the ACH on Saturday. WAHOOO!

    Sorry dude, I would add if I could, but I do not have one, nor does any motorcyclist that I personally know. I saw some guy on a Ducati the other day and his license plate said "quack." I thought that was cool. The guy I bought my FZR1000 from had just that, FZR1000 on the plate.

    I always thought it would be cool to have "L8TBRKR" , or "KNEEDRG."

    "MYVFER" Wish I could have had MYVFR but it was taken. I am still waiting for it. Apparently it takes 120 days to get your new plates. :( I want them! lol

    Yeah, it took 3 months to get my plate for my new toyota in June. Forever! They are so slow.

    Plates

    For those that are thinking of a personalized plate, they can add the finishing touches to your bike. For those in California here is the website to check and see if the plate is available. https://vrir.dmv.ca.gov/ipp/PerLicensePlateServlet

    I like to read some vanity plates, as long as they make a little since. Maybe I'm a little slow, but some of them are so obscure only the owner would know what the he!! they are trying to spell.

    I have 3 plates, one for each bike. They are pretty straight forward but they clearly identify what I ride.

    Bike: 2007 VFR800FI -> Plate: VFR FI
    Bike: 1986 VFR750F -> Plate: VFR F
    Bike: 1986 VF500F -> Plate: VF500F

    Although part of me would love to have a vanity plate - I have avoided them on both my cars and bikes because that yanking that throttle is so damned fun - if it happens to torque somebody off, i dont want them to be able to remember my plate. --- I can just see it --- "Yes officer, his plate said
    -your name here- " ...

    I think I posted it once before but its still funny -- I was on a business trip in connecticut and I saw a station wagon with a sign painted on the side ----
    "Connecticut Urology Clinic - Call xxx-xxx-xxxx " The plate? IFIXDCK
