ya'll got me hankering' for a VF1000R again.

 

Poll numbers suggest that you get one. Seems like all the "smart guys" on the forum have one. Well smart is a relative term.... the guys whose wives either said ok to it or simply have no idea what's in the garage.

 

Well, I had 4, built 2 really nice ones and foolishly sold them.

So if the smart guys have them , Since I sold all mine, I think that puts me squarely in the category of "idiot", "fool" or "dick head"

I tried to buy one last summer, but it didnt pan out.

 

Find a project bike with good bones so you can put suspension and wide wheels on it. It's a completely different bike in the good way.

Still VERY much enjoy riding my lightly modded 85, but getting on Two Face just reinforces feeling justified about RestoModding one.

Gear driven 1000 V4 with modern radials and real suspension. I literally just started smiling thinking about it.

 

What shock is that your running Capt ?
