No problem, Pete. I should bump into Mike in the next couple months.

I know you will put the rotors to good use and I'd hate to see another brake rotor hanging on the wall in my garage that is never going to be used. Now I just need to sell the OEM wheels with the new Rosso Corsa II's on them. The tires are a couple years old, so I figured I would just put new hoops on the PVM's. I also wanted to try the new Rosso Corsa III's.

Just got a video from Mike. He is tuning one of the three engines that received the updated intake valves like mine. Gotta admit, it sounds pretty good to me. Wondering how mine will sound with the Tyga shotgun dual canister exhaust. The Tyga guys did say that exhaust makes more HP on the dyno than the single can like the one in the vid. He didn't provide a number for the HP peak on that engine, so I sent him an email and I'm waiting for a reply. I will also have the Ignitech CDI programmed with the HRC map, so we'll see what improvements that can show.

Should start working on the long road of assembling mine in the next two weeks. I have a little time available between the 2nd and the 16th of April to work on it. It's been apart for two years...luckily, I labeled everything and have a photographic record of the assembly sequence from the first time. Been boning up on the process to get myself familiar with it again.

That made me laugh, because it was completely unexpected. Glad to see he still has his sense of humor after all of the bullshit he had to go through. I would have had him tune mine when it's done, but he is 900 miles away and my guys are pretty darn good.

First thing I gotta do is get the new tires mounted on the PVM's. I'll do that first thing. A 65 mph blast of wind got ahold of the door on my Tacoma and sprung it. Lucky it didn't tear the door off and crunch the quarter panel. Fucked up the restraining strap inside the door and the window won't roll all the way down, so it's going into my Toyota Collision Center folks to get fixed. Might end up having to have the the whole freakin' door replaced. So the tires need to get done before it gets dropped off. Interested to see the weight difference between the stock wheels with Rosso Corsa's and the PVM's with Rosso Corsa's.

I worked in West Texas for a while and this shit happened all the time. Wind would come out of no where and fold doors over. Damn near had my arm ripped out once trying to hold an F250 door.

Yeah, I am loath to give up my 2012 Nissan Titan SL, I looked all over Texas to find it in 2016. It is a pretty rare, full option load unit. I also do not skimp on any maintenance as it is my company vehicle. It has 160K on it now and may need replacing. Looked at the new Titan but Nissan fucked up the design on the newer gen model and I hate it. I am looking at a Tacoma now (Limited) but they are going for crazy money around here. It's not the money but the fact that you can buy a NEW one for slightly more than a 60K mile used one. Freaking insane.

I will do a little bit here and there, time is limited and I have other things to do. Let's just say it isn't really a priority.

Finally got some time to goof around with the RVF today. It's been way too long in coming.

Got home Friday morning and loaded up the new wheels and tires and dropped them off at my local Honda boys. The PVM wheels are pretty decent. Night and day difference in weight and bling factor. Picked them up yesterday morning and they told me they did balance them...even though there were no weights on the wheels....it didn't need them, perfectly balanced without any added weight. You get what you pay for.

The OEM rear will only accept a 150/60 tire, the rear PVM wheel is 5.00 in width and can accept a 160/60. Tyga Performance developed these wheels with PVM and after talking to them, they said the 5.00 was the "goldilocks" width, a step bigger tire can be mounted and not have any clearance issues that you run into with the 5.25 and 5.50 width rims which are the standard for aftermarket wheels for these motos. The available rims are for the NSR and RS250, but they share the same OEM wheel with the RVF. These are designed to fit the RVF, perfect fit, straight bolt on, no bullshit.

For comparison, PVM - Left, OEM - Right

Even though it is a little larger width at 5.00, the PVM's are shockingly lighter than the OEM wheels, when mounted up with the same tires, Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa III's.

Today, I didn't plan on doing anything with it really, but I was hanging out in the garage drinking coffee and waiting for my first C-19 vax stabby appointment so inertia took over. Started with a little of this, then a little of that, and at the end of the day I had got to a point much further along than I expected. Tomorrow my buddy is coming by to help me lift it down so I can continue the assembly process.

After a couple years of it being in bits, I bumbled around a bit trying to locate all the parts and pieces. Thankfully, I did an OK job of labeling all the parts and putting them in zip lock bags and I had all my notes, photos, and reference materials archived. Next will be bolting the valve covers back on, getting the wiring harness roughed into place, and getting the rear of the moto back together. Decided to powdercoat a couple new pieces, so I hope that can get done quick.

I got my first vaccine yesterday. Had some tie to blow before i went and started some landscaping that I have been putting off. Got a lot further along too. lol

Good to see this project progressing. How much weight savings on the rims?
Good on you for bagging and labeling, I do the same and take photos. The old noggin use to be a steel vice but now it's more like a steel sieve.

I don't have a certified scale, but the one I do have, puts it at just about 2.5 pounds less with the rear PVM and 160/60 tire. I haven't pulled the rotor off the OEM front yet, but when I do, I'll get a comparison. Most of the weight is in the bigger tire, if I had to guess. It's noticeable when you pick them up.

Heard all kinds of vax stories about intense arm pain, side effects, etc. I don't have any of that this morning. We'll see how it plays out after round two.
