Discontinued part for center stand

The previous, previous owner (I think) removed the original center stand on my 98 VFR 800. My daughter got me the stand from eBay for Christmas and refurbished it. I ordered all the parts available, but everywhere I look the RIGHT MAIN STAND COLLAR (50503-MBG-000) is not available. The OEM parts company in TX where I bought the hardware said Honda no longer makes this part. Does anyone have any ideas (I have searched eBay, etc.) of where to find one or a workaround for a substitute part instead? Thanks!!

 

Partzilla still shows it listed, but that doesn't mean it's available (others say not, as you say). Quickie look at mine say it's what looks like a 20mm dia. spacer that has a washer on each end.... original may be one piece, machined with a shoulder on the outboard end to act as a bushing.... I'm not in a position to disassemble at the moment... total distance looks to be about 19mm, so minus the two "washers" it may be ~15mm plus the shoulder "bushing".
You could make one up perhaps out of some 3/4" round stock with a through hole for the bolt, for all the use it would get, aluminum might be OK if greased.
1" dia might be OK but would perhaps interfere with the spring bracket......
