Hello, I have a 2015 VFR800F fitted with a Honda Quickshifter. After fitting an Akrapovic slip-on the bikes fuelling has been upset and I get small pops when closing the throttle. I have and was always going to purchase a Dynojet Power Commander V. Is anyone have a Dynojet Power Commander V set on 8th Gen with a Honda Quickshifter? Are they compatible? is there anything I should be aware of when installing the Dynojet Power Commander V? IMG_2890.jpeg IMG_2889.jpeg IMG_2888.jpeg Slip-on.jpeg s-l1600-4.jpg

The pops were always there, just that you can hear them well. Is the PAIR system still on the bike? Removing would lessen the pops if not eliminate. I don't believe a PC will cure that.

Hello raYzerman, thanks for the input. To be clear, the small pops were 100% not there prior to changing the exhaust. I put 2000km on the bike before changing the exhaust over. The OCD in me had me putting the standard exhaust back on to check, and the pops disappeared. I expect that the only change to the bike when fitting a freer breathing exhaust is a change to the air flow. The PC will balance air-fuel mixture to match changes in the air flow caused by the change in the exhaust. Anyway, whether or not the PC will fix the pops was not the question and a bit of a moot point as I have already purchased one. I am trying to find out if the Honda Quickshifter and PC play nice together before I fit it, or if there is anything I need to do when fitting it to ensure they work together. I have also put down a deposit on a set of custom headers that are on a thread on this website, so I think the PCV will not be wasted in the long run. There is a guy in Melbourne that has a similar set-up and is on the Facebook page. He said it goes like the clappers.. As I will be keeping this bike for the foreseeable future was looking at getting it 100% as it is my daily ride and the wife and my touring rig. It sort of fills a few jobs. The older bikes are shed for weekend rides.

When it comes to VFR's , I can't advise you on the PC and QS stuff... there are far more knowledgeable dudes here than me for that stuff.

I suggest a call (800.992.4993) or email to Dynojet. Danny Boardman is the Powersports Technician (support@dynojet.com). We worked for an hour on the phone reflashing my PC5 to work with my '99. He's smart, easy to work with and may have your answer.
    Good luck!

All good, I was trying to find out if I had to do anything different on the install as well. I was hoping that someone on the site may have some experience with fitting the PCV to a VFR with a Honda Quickshifter. I did get some feed back on the Facebook page. More to do with the settings in the PVC than the actual fitting and wiring. Unless I hear different, will assume that it's the same as a standard install.
Cheers for that, sounds like a plan. Will send them an email.

Hi Ronsk, Will be keen to hear of your mods and improvements with the PCV, as I have considered but the $$$ scared me off.
I have an SC Projects slip-on and on down shifting get some pops and farts, no issue with performance and have been advised by the "experts" it is just due to the slip-on having lesser baffling. When I fit the db killer the pops stop.

Just in the process of fitting an auto-tune to go with the PCV. Will post a couple of updates as soon as I finish. Had to pull the exhaust off and put in a bund for the wide band o2 sensor

Yes, it is compatible right out of the box.
    vfr 800f 2014 oem quickshifter & PC5 maped.

Also want to say, yes, quickshifting work from 1 to 6 gear, not just for 2 to 6 that there are people to believe.
