I'd like to see the VFR800X continued and brought to North America..... I think they'd sell.

What Honda offers is all about return on investment. The 8th gen cost Honda much less to develop by using proven parts from the bin. With sales slow, that was likely the only way they could justify it. Sales in the US turned out to be even slower still and they pulled it. A clean sheet design isn't likely unless or until the market changes significantly. And with governments rattling their sabers about banning gasoline engines, that has to have the manufacturers hesitating even more about developing follow on designs.

I would've liked to see some parts from the CBR side on the 8th gen VFRs. A head to head with Ducati's Panigale with a VFR 1000cc v-4 would have been pretty awesome.

A sport tourer in todays market needs:

    1000cc Power
    TFT screen
    Cruise Control
    Range
    Adjustable Suspension
    Heated grips
    USB connections.
    Quick Shifter up and down.

That’s pretty much it. Honda can has all of these parts on the shelf, they just don’t do it. They even got one of the best names out there, Interceptor. I guess there just isn’t a big enough market to make it worth their while.

I’m in search of such a combination and I don’t want a cruiser. I can’t stand the H2 green, the BMW S1000R is close but vibrates too damn much, so I’ll wait. I’m gonna ride a VFR1200F to see if I like it. It doesn’t have everything on my list but it’s cheap.
