Help I have a 2015VFR800 deluxe and it has a large 8.4A parasitic drain that kills my battery overnight. I have done a bit of troubleshooting and I have it isolated to two fuses, the drain will only stop if BOTH the 30amp Main fuse AND the 30 amp ABS power fuse are removed, I am stuck right now. I have attached the Wiring diagram . Any help would be appreciated thanks! CB0C5DBE-96D7-400C-952B-1F82FA6E76A9.jpeg

8.4 amp is massive. I’m assuming you have done a leak test to get that figure.

    How old is the battery?

Check wiring for pinched wire or charred connector, that is abnormally high for relatively new bike.

Yes tested every fuse. What I found is weird is that I have to remove both the main 30A and the ABS 30a fuse for the leak to stop. I have a brand new battery and an older one , same on both, no issues while riding just the fact that one turned off , key removed it’s still drawing 8.4-9 A

Got some more info, schematic of the ABS system. Looks like the only thing that could draw that much current is the ABS Motor, not good.

I watched a Superbike Surgery video on YT last night. Parasitic drain on a recent CBR600 was being caused by a failed regulator/recitifier. That is live and in the charging circuit at all times. Try unplugging the power feed from that and see if the drain stops.

You pulled the main fuse only and the drain continued? Looks like ABS fuse is for the pump motor only.

Just noticed there are two ABS fuses, one for the pump motor 30A (always hot) and one for the control unit 10A that goes through ignition switch.

ABS Pulses are also used for automatic turn signals, after there is a a difference in speed, they cancel signals.

Changing ABS unit looks like a messy job.

I initially though Abs unit so I left the fuses in and disconnected the harness at the abs unit , no change still drawing 8.4A,

Well that is good news in a way, ABS unit would be expensive. Look for any signs of discoloration due to heat, that 8 amps is going somewhere

yes check that R/R... I had a signifcance in mine when probing between the 12V + and -. Regulator was warm to the touch, always on... should be cold until engine running/stator output.

The only other common point would be R/H fuse box. Water in there?
