    I just recently purchased my first VFR that isn’t a basket case, 150 miles in and absolutely smitten with my 94. A bit of culture shock coming from a 1000RR, but absolutely for the better and it’s great to be back on 2 wheels. I’m out and about in KY, looking to do my first 129 run this summer. I’m sure I’ll be in and out with questions and trying to hunt down some parts once my first set of mods arrive next week. Safe travels! [IMG]

    Looks like it’s in great shape! How many miles are on her?

    Hi SquidTourer and Welcome to the MadHouse:Welcome:

    Kudos for photos with your first post :Clap2: and double for choosing a red VFR which are always the fastest.:potstirrer1:

    It sounds like you are already planning some mods - so don't forget to take photos to show us all how you get on.

    You might want to update your forum profile to include an approximate location - that way if you hit problems and need help you may find someone on here is living nearby and is willing to drop by and offer advice especially if you have a well stocked beer fridge.:drink:

    Have fun - ATGATT :wheelie::wheelie::wheelie:

    Just rolled 38K! Wanted something that had actually been ridden (so carbs were maintained, parts were changed). Searched for a while to find a number in between “dry storage” and “took it to Antarctica every year”

    Thanks! Slip on went on this morning, new levers and some odds and ends are still in the mail. I’ll get that updated here soon.

    That sounds perfect! I’m afraid my ‘95 would seem to have been to Antarctica every year, with 137,000 miles on her. Those were trouble free miles though, with the exception of a couple of voltage regulators along the way. Enjoy yours, there’s plenty of life left in her.

    That’s very good to hear, I’ve already done the PC fan mod on a replaced R/R and stator, need a valve check done and it’s time for another 20K. Love the testaments about the longevity of these bikes

    Welcome to The World SquidTourer! Looks like a good example of a 4 Gen you got there.
