Headlights, dash don’t work?! Help.

I was changing out the rear brake lights and I heard a pop and now my dash, headlights hi and low don’t work. Blinkers and brake lights work. Clock works still and it runs fine. Any help guys?!

 

check your fuses. was the key on while u were working ?

 

The owners Manuel doesn’t state which fuse is for what. Probably the one by the headlights? And yes i think the key was on. I’m an idiot...

 

Fuses are up in the cowl on both sides. I think there's 2 socket head screws holding the funny looking panels in

Got it! 10amp fuse blew.

 

That was an undertaking!!

mines non ABS so it’s on the front brake side. The small panel felt glued in there. I thought for sure I’d break it but it eventually came off.

This is what I ended up having to do to get them off. Crazy right!? I’m not sure what bolts should go back in the stock location. The ones on there were way too long. I’ll have to order stock bolts from Honda. I believe they’re engine mounting bolts? It’s going to be really close putting on the new fairings without the hole because the bolt still sticks out about flush with the fairing.

 

Yes, they are engine mount bolts. M10x65 on left, M10x47 on the right side. The M10x47 is a Honda special bolt.

Thanks NorCal! Do you use a specific website you’ve had good luck with? Also according to the schematic it looks like I need #16 and #23 and I might need #6 as well? Does that look right?

 

I meant #14 NOT 16. Actually is it #14 or #16 it’s hard to tell?
