Carbs came out with the plenum and that’s where I noticed 2 of them were cracked in half. The mufflers are stock for sure. I might just send the carbs out to Billy’s our back.

Highly recommend having somebody go thru them for you while you concentrate on other things. It will be money well spent if you have never done it before.

Out of curiosity, does anybody know what the needle jet part numbers are? It looks like the carbs had been touched at some point. It looks like some say 1HB, and some day 1HE. Which ones belong where? The order didn’t look correct. 1& 2 had 1HB and 3&4 had 1HE. Any help would be great!

Nice, I still have my original 83, it sat in my garage in NY for more than 20 years too. How is your tank inside? Is there rust?

Look for rust under the front of the stock mufflers from condensation.

Great looking time machine, no idea why these things just don’t get used, same for all cars and bikes that have very low miles

    VF1000F2 a work in progress

Hi mate! Great find! I let my VFF sit in the shed for about six or eight years and when i went to reboot i found the head gaskets leaking in the back pots. Beware!
