Got this in an e-mail from Aerostich today.
    Anyone familiar with this rider/bike?
Nice clear clutch cover and fine example.

I would love one of those suits if they weren't so darn expensive.

Do yourself a favor and get one. I bought one in 1995 shortly after getting my '95 VFR. I sold it on e-bay for over half the original price well over a decade later.
I have another (cough..... Larger) one today. NO REGRETS!
You won't do that with many/any other suits.

Nope. Not in the cards for me. Over $1000 and I would need custom tailoring for even more. I bet it would be at least $1500 total. I only paid $1800 for the VFR.

@bk94si yeah i could understand why you wouldnt want to spend SOOOO MUCH on a suit. but hospital bills are quite a bit more expensive.... ****shrugs.

I don't think any studies that show a more expensive suit protects any better. It is a matter of fit, finish, and convenience that make up the higher price. Same with helmets for that matter. I do spend extra on helmets though because the fit and finish does make a difference there with air flow, comfort, and vision.

I don't think anyone was advocating not wearing gear here, or accepting poor protection. Just some honest feedback on affordability.
