Not VFR's, but im sharing anyway.

I'd been on the lookout for these 2 bikes and finally got a great deal on two very nice examples.

The Kawi has only 2,600km on the odo - basically a new bike, un molested and no mods
The RC51 has only 6,500km on the odo - and the stock pipes and passenger seat came with it too basically stock if I remove the Jardine pipes.

The RC51 was filthy when I took the picture, its now pristine.

I haven't swung a wrench in a while, I retire in 2 weeks so I wanted a few projects in queue to keep me busy this winter. the VF1000R will be one of those projects IMG_1030.jpg IMG_9554 2.jpg

    Very cool!

The RC51 rewards hard riding. It gets better and more comfortable the faster/harder you ride it.

Thanks, its hard to find examples of these bikes with low km and that haven't been modified . Most folks dont like the shotgun pipes on the Kawasaki (I love them) so they get replaced or cut down.

Yes, ill start a new thread on my VF100oR. I have a thread on there for the Euro VF1000R I did last year, ill start a new one for the other one this year. The VF1000R on the left is the subject of the build, its very clean, but will get a new frame (rebuilt title on this frame, which I dont like). The VF1000R on the right is the one I did last year only to find it has no second gear, so that will get sorted as well.

Bastard! Looks like a really envious collection, mate. Especially the NS400. Look after them for the rest of us.:)

Been a good year for lucky find's really. I sold 8 of my bikes (thought I was getting well) and then I bought 7 more. All pretty good deals too, although im yet to crack open the valve covers on the Ducati 748 to see how the rocker arms are, if the chrome is still good, it was a good deal.

Im still on the lookout for a Valentino Rossi edition Yamaha R1 (2010). Once I find that, ill be done. ......for now.....maybe.

No bike riding here now until May 2020. were in the deep freeze and snow of winter for a while. Snowmobiles are the toy of choice for the next few months.

    it happened again.

I was on a 15 hour drive and I got home and found this in the back of my truck....

a 2000 RC51, #27 - folk lore says the first 50 were built at HRC and have some sort of signature on the engine cases. I dont put much credence in that, Ive read about lots of them with "signatures" on the cases which seem to be little more than a letter and number to ensure the cases are matched properly

Its been low-sided on the right, but came with all the parts to fix it. all the original parts are there too (pipes, seat, windshield, signals, levers etc). PO bought a new Magnesium clutch cover, new decal kit and a bunch of other stuff for it, I have anew Radiator and right side mirror too. My buy's will be mainly paint , fasteners and mechanical wear items (Headstock bearings, Wheel bearings, Fork Rebuild kit, Tires , bar grips , Brakes, etc)
