Getting back into the motorcycle world after some time off. Finally decided on a VFR. Problem is this - the plan was to make a purchase in the early spring, pay off a few bills, etc.... (live in the northwest and it is winter time here) so my chances of riding till early spring is minimal. But, I found a couple of new VFR's at a price that I probably won't see again, should I go ahead and do it or wait and hope they don't sell (of course buying now means that I will have to just look at it all winter in the house). What do you think?
Tough to say, if its a RWB model I'd jump now as they are the most sought after of the 07' color schemes. If another color tickles your fancy then I fairly sure you'd be able to locate a new 07' yet in the spring. Actually I'm sure if put the time & energy into searching you should be able to find a new 06' yet. You could chose to be fatalistic & say tommorow may never come, " carpe diem"
you can always sit on it and rev the engine, make traffic sounds, and pretend. i don't really have that problem, but i'd buy it. life is too short to second guess every decission.
You'll pay more in the spring than you will now. I try to buy my items when they are out of season (street / dirt bikes and snowmobiles).
If you like the colors, buy it. If you are willing to travel and will ride it home, then you'll likely find a new VFR in the US come Spring... but there will be warm days this winter when you'll wish you had it. In the meanwhile, you can start looking for deals on jackets, helmets, gloves, GPS, bags, raingear, boots, another warm weather jacket, leathers, riding suit, lighting farkles, Large screen HD TV and other random stuff to ensure you're committed to buying a bike before you buy the bike. :thumb:
Are you talking about '06's and do you live close to Portland? I bought a new, Pearl White, '06 VFR from Honda of St. Johns, in Portland, 5 weeks ago for $8198.00 OTD. I had seen the Pearl White VFR at the California Speedway AMA race in April of 2006 and couldn't get that bike out of my mind. It would have been the one thing I would have regretted on my future deathbed, had I not done it! :clock: After spending a year and a half of wishing, planning, and taking care of neccessities, I finally was able to begin searching the country until I found one. This was the only 06 Pearl White VFR I could track down. The dealership is owned by Larry Miller, of Miller Motorsports Park fame. The St. John's Honda folks are great. I believe they had 2 Black '06's left...............their number is 503-286-8816. Chris Gonzales is the man you want to ask for. If you want my $.02, You gotta do it.
Same dealership that I have e-mailed. Just need to get some things out of the way first, but you never know, I may just say screw it and go get one anyways. Thanks - (I am in the NW corner of Montana)
