Shudder on Deceleration , 1st gear

Morning fellow bikers.
i initially thought my problem was the front brake bobbins . i'd seen on you tube , they should be Free , enabling the "floating " discs, to float . i still need to go through the drill of cleaning them out .

i thought this, because on my way home, off-throttle , the bike shuddered as if it had a sticky ABs . Scared the poop out of me . saturday it did precisely, the same: i whacked it in first gear , Think i hit second, and then i off-throttle , to slow down for the Can's in front of me . i noticed i hadn't climbed onto the brakes , so by deduction , it isn't the brakes . Don't know whether im relieved to say that though .

The bike feels or makes an action similar to Chain-slack , or as if one has Geared down and dropped the clutch, and the rear wheel is decelerating slower than the speed youre travelling at. Equivalent to hopping the back wheel on a BMw after locking only the back brake.


i'm so nervous something will lock up and throw me off while riding , and the situation could've been preventable .

The moment i pull the clutch in , while riding or decelerating: the problem disappears .
i have checked slack on the chain and it appears fine . i also thought it might be the back tyre being over-inflated , as i recently pumped them to 290 again , after having the bike mothballed for nearly ten months.
kids ran the battery flat by leaving in the key. fabulous . iM wondering if the standing for ten months, hasn't somehow caused my this grief .

gen 6 , and only has 12 700km on it .

Didn't do it before the unforced , ten month long Sabbatical .


if anyone could assist me in trying to locate the problem , would be Very grateful .
i have never worked on My Vf before .

could it be flat spots on the tires from sitting ? or loose steering head bearings ?

 

If the fault disappears when the clutch is pulled in, then it can't be the wheels/tyres/brakes/chain. By deduction then I'd say clutch or engine are being a bit lurchy. Does the clutch feel normal otherwise? Given your 10 month storage, has something crawled into the airbox?
