front wheel ABS activation speed

Hy there everyone!


I'm a fresh owner of this beauty and working on getting to know her better so question have arise and your help would be appreciated.

I was practicing some braking on empty parking lot and rear wheel ABS activates almost no matter of the speed but front wheel ABS never does. So, is there some certain speed above which front wheel ABS bites on and off or just ˝any˝ speed is enough to activate it , more / less like rear one?
I was told that you need to ride it at some 40 km/h and press it hard to make abs active but I would rather ask you guys here first than to have romantic time with asphalt.

The ABS starts as soon as the light on the dash goes out, I think it’s 10mph it’s in the owners handbook

The thing is that I am not certain does it work or not because when I accelerate and apply both brakes the rear one blocks on and off and although her nose dives down in last meter or so ABS on front one doesn't activate but front wheel doesn't slide anywhere due to blocking, it just stops. Could it be that I˝m just too cautious?

 

You are too cautious, I can get my 6th gen front to work on tarmac. Try using it on a dirty road surface.

I˝m also guessing that if something is off with abs it would be on the dash. If I remember correctly, some of YouTube bike reviewers were from around Birmingham, you have pretty nice roads there.

 

OEM tyres? If they are the Dunlop D222, getting the ABS to activate should be very easy on those atrocious tyres. They have very little grip both wet and dry.
