Bar risers, setbacks, or superbike bar conversion

I’m having trouble finding anything besides spacers to bring the bars up and back on my Gen 8. Anyone know of a superbike bar conversion kits that fits Gen 8, or a machine shop that could make a custom riser with setback built in?

For 8th Gens you can pick up adaptors from Motopumps (on ebay) who do a 1/2" riser pad for around 70 dollars or you can install a Helibars 3/4" riser pad for around 90 dollars.

PS if you come across a Motopumps install video on youTube please do not copy the torque hammer solution. The correct torque is in the manual and by using a torque wrench you will make sure the bars are secure.

Hey Skimad, thanks for the suggestion. I have some Motopumps risers en route, but may have to get some setbacks custom made. I’ll keep you guys posted.

 

I have the Motopumps 1 1/4” risers and a set of Knight Designs foot pegs with a 1 1/2” drop. Made all the difference. I would try those first before trying to find set bscks.

 

Dropping the pegs is a great idea that never occurred to me. But I imagine that would rotate the hips and center of gravity back a little.

 

When I bought the bike and rode it home for the first time I hard time bending my knees to get legs up snd down quickly. I had another set of pegs on my 6th gen too.

 

Allyance, do you like the Knight design foot pegs? Could you post a picture with any feedback. You might have but I would like to see if this will help my knees a little more. Your feedback is always appreciated.

 

Putting the seat in the lower position as well helps because the bars are then higher in comparison.
