Has anyone tried a 190 width rear tire over the stock 180 width? If so, what's your thoughts?

Typically, trying to fit a 190 on the stock rim sized for a 180 will pinch it and screw up the profile. Some have done it and like it, but not something I would do or recommend.

My thoughts? Why not stick with what works.

The oversize tire may not fit the rim as well as the stock size, it may interfere with the
swingarm, it may rub the rear hugger if fitted.

And for what gain? Looks? Buy a Harley if you need a big phat tire.

vfr4.JPG Is it the best fit....? No probably not. Will you crash and burn? probably not. I have run 190's off my track bike that I have used on rain track days and they worked just fine.

180/60. Taller and ~20mm wider across the tread face, without much width increase at the sidewalls.
