If you're planning on using it on your VFR, then neither will work worth a hoot. Those work pretty
well for lifting bikes that have an accessible frame like a Harley, where the frame is actually below
the motor and will sit on the framework of the lift.If so, then it's pretty much a toss-up.

TBH you really need a ride-on type lift for a sport-type bike.

Abba Skylift is awesome - I have one..
another choice is the EasyRizer - very good (also had one) but bike is not moveable once on it..

Nope, then you need a couple of adaptors that fit into the peg mounts & swing arm removal is really easy.

I thought about a lift, but never really seemed to need one, nor did I want to occupy space with one. If I did do it, I'd have to say flat top for me. The wheelstand look would be cool for a display.

 

Now I love lifts - but the biggest problem with a floor lift is the real estate that it takes up permanently. Basically you will lose a car space.
Then do you go Air, hydraulic, electric or manual?
Now in the UK, my garage is 2.56m or just over 8ft. The beauty of the Abba stand is that I can move the bike to suit me. My tool box is on the left & I have no option to put it on the right - but if I'm just working on the right side of the bike that means lots of wasted time walking back & forth for tools...
Abba's solution is to turn the bike around whilst still on the lift ! Win - Win Also, if I find that I can't finish the job, I can move the bike so that the garage space is now available for something else.

 

The Abba stand certainly has its merits, but versatility isn't one of them. If you work on several
different bikes, you'd need an adapter kit for each one. And I'm sure they don't make the kits for
all brands and models of bikes. I use my HF lift for my VFR, my wife's PCX scooter, my step-son's
Street Glide, my grandson's KTM, and my now gone FJ1200.

And while it won't work for all vehicles, my HF lift spends the winter under my wife's pickup which
is parked inside. If I could only have one lift, it would have to be the table lift, HF or other brands.

 

My Abba works a treat on my 12F

 

I made one from scrap items and a car jack from the 50's (I think). So I chose to purchase one with "sweat-equity".

I like the fact that during long storage times (winter) I can remove all weight off of the suspension.
