Anyone thinking about Utah, Colorado or western rides yet?

February 1st and 54 degrees is making me think about spring and summer rides. Anyone else?

High of 36 all week and snow snow snow here in Colorado. All the good roads are snowed in.

I saw video of snow in the Santa Monica Mtns above Malibu.

Can this cold weather please end.. I'm tired of riding in parking lots

 

Hey Mad Doc. Did you get out today? I did, I should have called you. 50 degrees is my minimum temp to ride in. I have no cold weather gear.

 

38 this morning riding to work. Layered as usual but really the only thing that’s really cold is my chest, as Randy in Canada had told me a few days ago, try putting newspaper inside the leathers, found an old issue of Motorcyclist instead and it actually helped.
Plus at lunch had time to read the old rag again.

This brings up an ineresting point.... Just where do you find a newspaper in this day and age?

 

I did, but not for long. I was so happy this morning when I saw temps in the 40's but I had pending school school work so it was just a short ride. I didn't even hit the freeway because I was scared, I wouldn't stop until I had emptied my tank.

So... It looks like Montrose, CO would be a good "meet in the middle" spot for us. Also, some pretty amazing roads around there as well. Where is A.M. coming from? Is there anyone else to be joining us? ESAK is in Kansas, but has expressed interest.

I'll offer up my digs for anyone who needs a room in the Springs - I've got a full finished basement with everything but room service.

 

I know but I really don't like riding in temps lower than the mid 50's.

 

Which springs, Colorado or Glenwood? I was also wondering of the possible dates. We should give this ago with dates and ride routes. Igork are you up to putting a itinerary together and possible dates. I would like to see this as possible. I see that from my route it will take 6hrs + to get to Montrose. Or, I can take a longer more scenic route adding an hour to the ride if mad doc is coming to see the parks in Utah. I don't know where duccman lives and I believe A.M lives... hell I don't know?;-) I look forward to anyone chiming in.

I really do not care how long it would take. If we start to get some dates lined up, then we can start to get our calendars blocked out.
