With my black wheels I figured black.
When an if I get around to PC the wheels white, then I’ll definitely have to swap them for white.

I have a 2007 Anniversary and it has black wheels. I wanted to powder coat them white, then I thought of the chain mess and lube cleanup... decided against. The black wheels just make the rims look small. I had a candy red with silver rims and that looked good.

VFR1200 I actually got the itch to do it after seeing
OZ VFR’s ride and bought mine from his supplier.
Was going to pull the trigger on doing my wheels white, but the cost was just not in my budget, seeing I have more important matters I’m dealing with.

Riding every month this year is still possable. Check off February with a 16 mile ride in 36* F temps today. Cold rain tomorrow, approching winter storm Sunday, 10* below normal for the forseeable future.

Rode the 6 Gen to a project I'm working on in Riverside, mid 30'sF most of the way. Glad I installed the heated grips, they actually work well if I have my standard winter gloves on. This is the 3rd or 4th "real world" test of the grips and so far, I like them. I did however, look into a different set of heated glove liners that seem to fit and work much better, fitment wise, than the first set I bought. Just a little slimmer in the right places that makes using them with a couple of pairs of gloves much nicer. Might end up trying them out this weekend on an early morning ride, when the temps are pretty low.

Help installing those grips on my bike BUDDY?
Got home a few nights ago at 42 degrees, layered put really the only part of my body that was cold was my chest. Remember my leathers are perforated.
Just need to invest in the right gear.
Going to go with the warm and safe 12v shirt and controller, but wasn’t in my budget at the time, now I wished at least I had it now with these record breaking temps.
Actually going insane driving my truck and dealing with these drones the last two weeks.

Any time you're ready I'm here! Although I have to preface that, I won't be around next week, I have a project that has me away for a full week. In a pinch, newspaper acts as a good insulator. Also, I think I have a quilted liner for a Ducati (Dainese) jacket that might work for you.

I found that having the right gear does wonders for comfort. The cost however, seems to be the issue!

In a pinch, put a few layers of newspaper under your jacket against your chest. Laying flat of course. It is amazing how much warmth that will provide. Works the same way for keeping your beer cold in the golf bag/ Wrap each can in three or so pages and roll tight and the beer will stay quite cold for the whole game/ Maybe less so in Arizona in middle of July.

I pulled the old girl out today with temps in the high 40's to 50's. Rode about 30 miles and filled her up with True gas. Got some beer and a Costco rotisserie chicken. Without winter gear my jacket did well and my summer BMW gloves did pretty well. I still need riding pants but had some fleece pants under the jeans and my BMW riding boots did fine. The only problem I had to be concerned with is that my temp gauge setting for air temp said 61 degrees. I think the old girl wants to be out more right now!:)

Put a monster sticker on my bike.. then went out for a short ride. I now have a grand total of 95 miles on my bike:).

BTW, are VFR gears always clunky when new? Gear changes are always accompanied by a loud "clunk" or maybe I just need to fine tune my gear changing skills after almost 2 years away from riding. It also seems the dealer put too much oil, though I can't be 100% certain as there's no one to hold my bike upright while I check it, and with the heavy weight of the VFR, I'm not sure I'm holding it level while checking. Could this be a contributing factor?

P.S. I have a lovely view of the snow capped mountains. Photo credit to the missus.

Put the bike on the center stand, then check the oil level.

In a world where everything was perfect, I would probably have done that in a jiffy. But beer is still expensive, the ladies don't run after me anymore and not all VFR's have a center stand.
