How do you get the seat off a 5g if the cable release is apparently broken? I have tried to find some other way in there, but it seems to be locked up.
Is it broken, or do you just not know how to remove the seat ? In other words, have you had the seat off previously ?
well it appears to be broken. when I pull the release lever it doesn't seem to have the tension it previously had leading me to think the cable snapped or something...
Reg, Don't know if it helps, but I remember a few months ago some one had a similar problem with a 6th gen. Perhaps if you can find his posts his solution might work for you. Don't rememeber what the solution was though. Dean
tried to search it a couple times but I get too many hits on 'seat' and 'unlatching seat' so far... I'm sure I'll hit it eventually... I think I remember the thread you mentioned....
Search "seat latch", the thread is "embarressing question". I'd post the link, but I'm not sure how. Unfortunately the poster didn't state how he got the seat off, maybe you can ask directly.

scratch has already been sportin a Sargent for a few years now. I'd rather not cut the back seat as I'm already getting near 2K in upgrades once the suspension gets ordered...
