8k miles. Garage baby. 9 years old and ever even had ECU remapped lol. Rode it home 150 miles and the flat spots in the power band were really annoying me. I'm going to this bike from a 2001 Katana 750.

Are there any 1200 DCT owners active in here? I'm planning to send the ECU to Guhl, wanted to confirm that is still the way to go.

    Thanks!

Can't speak first hand for the VFR1200 but I read from a few members over at VFRDiscussion who had the Guhl flash done and were very happy. Hopefully someone who had this done will chime into this thread and either confirm or deny what I said. Hopefully the former...

If you plan on the Guhl flash, decide if you want a different exhaust before hand. He will ask what is on there before the map.

That being said, it's really the best money that can be spent on that bike. You will literally giggle the first time you ride it afterwards!

It has a 2 Bros slip on on it now (I have the stock one as well), but I think I'm going to get the DAM can as it works with luggage and IMO looks sweet. Im also planning to put a k&n filter on it with the new ECU updates.

DAM is an excellent choice! Of course I'm biased because I own one as well.

Does the ECU flash eliminate jerky throttle response in lower rpm? I get it mainly in second, sometimes in third. I am also thinking of a smaller sprocket as I mainly ride on pretty twisty roads. I've had the Dam too. Very happy with it.
