I dropped my 2006 VFR today (stalled it in the driveway, embarrassing). I broke a mirror. I always considered the arm of the stock mirrors excessively long. Wondering if anyone can recommend mirrors that are closer to the body. Thanks.

I was looking for some too, I thought the mid 2000 era CBR600s had the same type of mounts and mount hole distance but I could not verify if the mirror stalks were any shorter but visually they did look a bit shorter. I was tempted to buy some cheap knock offs just to see if they were or not.

Why would you want that? If anything you’d want longer arms so you can see something besides your shoulders ! Dropping the bike breaks stuff and bends it too. Don’t make your view behind you worse for the rare drop. Just replace and move on! Ps I got 1” extensions on my mirrors. No more 1/2 shoulder view.

Can't speak for surfandski but lane splitting is legal here and more than a few times my mirrors almost clipped the vehicles next to me. I actually have a great view as-is and an 1" shorter probably wouldn't completely ruin that.
