good luck. I can tell you that the three colors on the RWB make garanimals a thing of the past, everything goes

I had good luck in leveraging the online prices from Southern Honda (google it) to get to the same price locally. they even through in a discount on the accessories I got at the same time (remember to get the oil, filter, and assorted other bits if you can get the discount - I forgot those).

    Good luck on your quest.

Welcome Stan. thats the bike i had my heart set on, had the use of an st4 for a couple of weeks before the viffer and just had to have one.Made the compromise and ended up with the current ride no regrets different bike different feel vfr is alittle more on the sport side. your story sounds familiar that and price is why i went with the viffer still nice to know i made the right choice not into spending that kinda money on maintance for any bike.you wont be disipointed vfr is a great bike!!

Nozzle... Chomper... thanks... Chomper, you made the right choice, IMO. I believe the Ducati can spank a VFR, but I am not into racing, or maintenance. The 2007 I have was Euro3 emmisions ready, which meant it had asthma unless under acceleration, and was prone to stalling and surging. Both issues I fixed myself by taking a vacuum hose off the airbox and retuning the TBs.

I moved this thread. Somehow while I was editing it got double posted...

    Chomper...

The Ducati ST3 has no problems when under any kind of acceleration. It's when you are trying to hold a steady speed that you notice the surging... Like someone gently having their foot on your rear brake, and then you feel it release. The damn oxygen sensor in the exhaust keeps telling the bike to run leaner, so you get the surge, or on again, off again feel at a steady speed. When the bike's warmed up it had a tendency to stall when coming to a stop. Not all the time, but enough to make you go, 'WTF'? I'll search that thread you're talking about and if I buy an Interceptor I'll make sure they do that adjustment before I ride off the floor with it, thanks! :)

you described it better than me, your right its more of a surge at mid to lower rpm at steady speed .big improvement after valve block smeller exhaust at idle still get the same mileage
