Ragtop where is that fall?

 

Pic 1 is Los Padres National Forest, or what's left of it after the huge Thomas Fire up Highway 33 above Ojai, Ca.

Pic two and three are the Corgi mix puppies we are fostering, Kona and Biscuit, female and male. They are about six weeks old.

Dogs are cute for sure. But I do like the first B&W photo. Interesting contrasts. Black and white can have its drama.

 

Burney Falls is east of Redding, Ca right off the 89.

A friend broke out the last of a 66 year old port, yum!

 

I've never had old alcohol. What's it taste like?

 

Well it was still sweet like a port with all kinds of wonderful flavors ( oak, wood etc) but it was much stronger in alcohol content. I didn't know much about ports but he told me they can be aged for a very long time and if you refrigerate it after opening you can keep it for 8 weeks. Red wine will start to oxidize as soon as you open the bottle.

 

Just wrap it in a brown paper bag and drink it right out of the bottle I say.
