    Hey everyone

I purchased a '94 VFR last spring with 104k km on it. I love it! I went hunting for a VFR after constantly listening to the sweet sweet sound of 2000-ish vfr with modded exhaust go by my place every evening. I just had to have that sound! Had a '91 ex500 ninja as my first bike and then an '01 SV650 and now my beautiful 94' VFR. The original owner modded the stock muffler (removed buffles I guess?) and put red LEDs in the wheel wells and side grills. It looks pretty slick to me.

I've done a bit of maintenance on it and currently have the tank off (my first time) found a bunch of hiccups which I'm hoping to get some help with.

Patience...some of us have jobs. :) Anyway, Welcome and since we're being critical, where are your pics of your ride?
    After all, everyone knows...

I was just busting some balls seeing as I joined friday . I thought it was maybe the Canadian flag in front of my thread :p

Pics? I don't have many but here are a few. The red lights are a lot brighter in person, my phone sucks in the dark.

We’re use to busting balls around here, so all good. That bike looks near show room condition! Very nice!

    Thanks

If only the bike WAS showroom condition lol. It has just over 60k miles so it has some marks on it haha. No big mods, I think the original owner removed the baffle from the muffler and it sounds good but I was thinking of getting an actual slip on for a more throatier sound but I have to find good sounds clips which is hard.
When I get it out of winter storage here I'm going to have it setup for my weight, I haven't had a bike set up for my weight so I'm very excited to feel the difference. Going to change to a DID Xring chain and a superlite steel +2 rear sprocket also this spring. Whoo lol

Currently I have the tank off as I just finished changing plugs, air filter, removing what was left of the secondary air filter. Going to remove the carbs and clean them and find out what jets are in it as it runs VERY rich at idle and has trouble starting. The carbs are intimidating for a newbie. I'm used to a single 4 barrel and tuning one of those seems like childs play to 4 carbs lol. Also need to learn about cleaning the brakes as many people have told me this is important. Looking forward to some guidance from people on here :)

I moved to Montreal from rural Ontario. I'm not a habs fan...but don't tell the locals or I'll get lynched! It's not about pretending to speak french but pretending to be a habs fan...

I lived in Toronto for 12 years, and once in a while I would do a job in Montreal, they would ignore me and pretend not to speak english until I said I was from the US, then they were a lot friendlier!

Yo Nate! New member from MTL here as well! I'll be posting my introduction post once the weather is nice and I can pick up my newly purchased 2007 VFR.
See you 'round the forums, and maybe see you at Orange Julip this year! Cheers

something every US motorist driving in Canada soon discovers is that the fastest-passing-you cars seem always to carry Quebec plates. Agreed ?

I would agree. I'm actually from ontario originally and moved to quebec. I found no difference between montreal drivers and toronto drivers. But out in the country on the county highways, the insanely risky passing cars normally had quebec plates :)

Hello from another fellow Montreal member. All this snow has got me down, but I think we should plan for a meet-up either at the Julep for the locals or perhaps somewhere closer (or in Ontario) if we want to all get together. Any suggestions:

    Orange Julep - What night?
Weekend meetup - Ontario or Quebec?
