We used a lot of salt in upstate NY too.

Makes me cold just looking at that, SM!

 

will not take mine out this time of year as the roads are really filthy,I think it is mostly the farm vehicles putting mud on the roads never even occurred to me before we moved out into the sticks hardly any clean vehicles around at all,I am a big wuss

 

I only stick to main roads but bike still gets filthy, roll on summer (if we ever get a decent one)

I got caught on the highway going to work in heavy snow. It was an adventure. Eventually the bike slipped out from under me as I was pulling into a service station and I had to abandon it there for the day and call one of my crew to come rescue me. Snow was melted by time my work shift was over and I was able to ride it 50 miles home from there.
