84 vf500 swap to 84 magna 750

    i can get a 84 honda magna 750 to put into my vf500, but i want to keep the chain. is this possible?

    No, engine rotation is opposite direction.

    And don't bother looking for vf700/750f engines. Won't fit, not even close. And not worth it, not even close.

    84/85 drop in.

    86 there are some slight differences but nothing that prevents it from happening. Some people report the 86 not fitting as easily in 84/85 frames, but I've never had that problem. Prob just manufacturing tolerances. You would need the 86 spark boxes.

    And VF500C Magna motors work as well. Slightly lower state of tune and some small differnces, but nothing that hasn't been done before.
