    I got my quote from a sticker I put on my first helmet. It's kinda funny because you can't really tell how you would show them where to crash. either;
A: your going to show them how it's done and all they have to do is follow you in:caked:
B: your so good you know where they will eat it when your leading the race/ride, and your just going to point. :first:

Most of the time I feel like I'm B: Sometimes I feel like A:. I don't like it when I feel like A::eek:

oh ya I need you to private message me saying your ready to buy!

Do you know if it's possible to place an order with a dealer in Japan directly, or do I need to find someone there who is willing to buy and ship for me? The mounting kit for the bags converts to just under $140AUD, which is about 20% of the price I have been quoted here in Australia, and about %50 of the price from David Silver Spares.

    TIA

Unfortunately I do no tknow how to place an order through Japan directly. It would be nice if I did because they have all kinds of good stuff. I have a buddy over there who gets all my stuff for me and ships it to me. I would think in your case you would have to check to see how much shipping is in the first place, because that price difference might just not be worth it.

Thanks Goinphaster. As I have been quoted $800AUD by a local Honda dealer, I reckon that I could still save a fair bit by buying in Japan. I'll have a chat with a couple of people at work and see if they know anyone there.

Tomorrows the last day, I still am missing a few private messages. I will send out instructions around midnight or so (I'm a night owl).

    uhhhh, I think I mis-represented....
that pic is from my buddy in Japan. he is going to send them through Japanese post, and they should be in my possession around the end of the week, Monday the latest (every time he sends me something it takes 3 days to get delivered).

Nozzle- your too rich for my blood! Just fold a quarter in half and you got my allegiance!

Man I could have used these this morning!! I started class at Ohio University today, which is 85 miles away. I had to be there early, so I left at around 6:00. ca.ca.k.cooold!! Well, not too bad. My temp gauge read a low of 48, but on average was around 53, and after 85 miles with perf gloves and jacket, well we've all been there. Needlass to say, I can't wait to get my pair.

Of course on the way home this afternoon, the average was 88, and I made it home in time for a bird bath before work. Now I wish I had some of that monkey butt powder that they sell at Deal's Gap.

    Bah-dump, clank!

Yes please post up saying when you got them.

When I recieved them from my buddy in Japan it said the same thing, even after I had already signed for them. I think it doesn't track it, it's just delivery confirmation.

The package has arrived - woo! Of course, like GP said, reading the instructions may prove to be a bit difficult!

I'm going on a motorcycle trip this weekend, but I'll try to post detailed instructions when I get back!

Thanks again GP (and your buddy)!

well, no grips yet, but I got my Sidi Strada Evo's from FedEx, so I can wait another day. Momma got boots too, so she'll complain less. Don't know how I can lessen her pain with the grips.... maybe a heated grab handle for her...

    ....bulletin.... bulletin... bulletin....

The box was in the back of the nozzle mailbox. Delivery is complete.

Thank you for going faster than I thought it would.

    Got my heated grips installed

Got my grips on just in time for those chilly Oregon mornings in October. These things are awesome... Honda quality. The heat ribs run down the length of the grip not like those wraps that heat up the bar and the grip. I think they are better than the factory installed heated grips on my BMW. I know they are way better than HotGrip product because I had those on a Honda ST I owned a few years ago. Those things were OK, but one side was always hotter than the other and took twice as long to warm up as the other side. The cost of these grips is very comparable to HotGrip product.

I really like the mounting bracket provided but you are also given the option of hiding the controller with a double stick tape square. The grips have several settings vs. just the high and low of the beemer and HotGrips. There are 4 different options. very cool

THANKS AGAIN TO ANTHONY FOR ORGANIZING THIS GROUP PURCHASE
