Went off to work this am, lately the bike have been running a bit rough off idle and has stalled a couple of time. Anyway on my way out, still cold engine, I have a downhill section where I was decelerating throttle off and the bike stalls and I can't start. When I turn the ignition on, I don't hear the fuel pump priming. Is this an r/r issue and what tests should I be doing to pinpoint?

Forgot to add, starter does turn over.

I apologize for replying not with answers but with questions. Your trouble seems similar to mine...kinda. At startup I hear the pump priming but sometimes it turns over but won’t fire. Intermittent of course. At times it starts after a few seconds, at times repeated attempts are required. It has never failed to start, nor had it stalled once running. Sometimes high idle, a few time low until warmed up. Weird. I’m thinking fuel pump/filter too. Have you experienced this too? What tests have you run? Have you solved your problem?

Don't get on here enough - sorry for late reply.
On my '06, when I didn't here the fuel pump priming up, it was a compromised electrical connector under the seat near the battery. Wiggling it would cause it to go on and off...
