I will only say that I think Westco and Shorai AGM (absorbed glass mat) batteries are good in my experience. I would strongly advise not getting a gel battery since you are moving to CO.

Duccmann, mine failed last month but lucky me it was still at home. I splurged on a Shorai & so far, so good. I had a Yuasa to replace the OEM about 2 years ago...

Hell, on two different bikes, I've used Chinese batteries and all is well. Something like $35-$40 AGM batteries. The one in my 5th gen even has a push button voltage meter on it. I get them from Chrome battery. Fast shipping and a warranty. Stronger battery than stock too.

I replaced the yuasa that was mounted when I bought my bike with a gel battery from a generic store brand here in Sweden. It's a test since yuasa batteries are some $250 here and the gel one I bought is around $50

Goin to throw a charge on it and bench test it-- then put in my bike to see if my stator is doin it's job since it's the only weak link on my bike that's left.
Hopefully the battery is the culprit at 3 years old---

+1 on the Motobatt. Had one for my Suzuki for three trouble free years which went with it went sold and got one immediately for my replacement 06 VFR four years ago with no issues and specs are like new . Battery tender a must for any battery longevity if you have any extended storage seasons.

I've been using the "batteryMINDer" charger
with a pigtail. Works fantastic and has a desulfation mode. Check it out.
