He makes it look so easy with flipflops! Hahaha. LMAO on all of these videos.
The process is the same, but the difference is the dynamics of the bikes set up (weight distribution, and center stand placement or pivot point). Grab bars help and I do not have mine on.

I really was just a "wee" bit drunk, poor lighting and pissed off at the my attempt to get the oil changed while being so. Bring it on everyone I deserve it! I will add that with the Kawasaki Concours and my previous bike the Kawasaki GPz1100 with a center stand where close in weight and easier to bring up than the VFR800 as set up. These Kawasaki's are longer and weigh a hundred pounds + more but, because of the length and placement of the stand they just "pop up" with some slight pull, and our bike you have to kinda pull just a bit harder depending on the set ip. Its all about the weight above the leverage point as we all know. And being sober! ;-)

I know! But, Greggs post hit me at the wrong time, I have refrained from responding until today. If that is your reference, or was it my response to your post? Yours was in good humor. Bad days for a while. Not so cordial with sarcasm returned from some and better from others that I use as well. I need to settle for a couple of days. I am better than some of the things that I have said to some. Thanks for the self check! See ya Duccy!

I was just teasing you Bubba - you know I'm a fan of yours! I was thinking about this thread the other day when I was trying to put my bike on the center stand while wearing crocs - took me a few tries but I finally got it LOL

Bubba and you alls laffs at me if you saw how many times I ride around a parking lot... trying to find a slope to help me out for centerstand.

I could have someone video that! Then we have drinking game together, Bubba!!

A shot for every time A.M. makes a 360! Ahahaha! Then everytime she finally finds a spot, a shot for how many times she has to try before success.

    We would be hammered!!
I haven't had a drink since the trip...kind of sounds appealing!!

Honestly, the 8th gen is not difficult to put on the centre stand, it is just technique. I was taught by an ex bike cop and have never had a problem with any of my bikes and I'm not much bigger than AM.

Never had an issue with the VFR800 putting it on the c-stand.

The VF1000F is a little tougher though ... LOL!

Is that kind of like a dog when he's doing circles looking for the perfect poop spot? lol

Yes, Gator!! Now that you mention it, I think it is very similar. I now know what it feels like for a dog in circles who has to pee! Super laffs!!!!

Ah, but you have missed the true intent and purpose of my tecbnique.

There is an old saying. If you want to win the 5 mile marathon, then train doing the 10 mile marathon. That way, the 5 mile marathon will be easy!
Ok, it may not be an old saying. But i'm old, and I sayed it. :p

So if the OP learns how to put his VFR up onto the centre stand with a piece of wood under the stand and bare footed, then wearing boots and on level ground will be easy. Assuming you can get your sore, swollen right foot into a boot that is.

If your going to learn something, make it next to impossible first I say!

Ummm..... Why would you take it off the center stand being off of it?:) Just use Alliance's tech and do a soft "hump" unless you are wearing a cup!;-) Slow and easy at the start!

lol I've never tried the hump the bike method. I've always just pushed forward (two handed push on the grips while standing on the left side) and wheeled it back into the garage.
