Hey All! Back again; I'm wondering if anyone knows the proper thread size for the puller. I've been having a somewhat interesting issue.

TL;DR - I need to know the size of the rotor puller (I believe it's 16mm) as I need to replace the stator. Read below for my ramblings :)

    Fun, story time:

The bike is in excellent running condition, put 2500 miles on it in the winter and had no issues at all. Now, I'm in 90F+ heat and 100% humidity all the time... needless to say, the bike warms up quite a bit.

I was riding the other day and started to notice that it was, for lack of a better term, "balking". I know that the bike had been just fine but that it HATES the heat. Mid-ride, the battery died. I checked voltage on the side of the road and was at 11 volts, unacceptable and impossible to keep a spark. I got the bike home and tested the alternator and found that as the motor got hotter, it appeared to charge less. I bought a stator + alternator kit, did the checks for charging and it was great, 13.4V at 2300 RPM.

Yesterday, I pulled into my driveway, turned it off, chatted up a neighbor a bit then went to start it... dead. It turned over a bit, but no start.

I'm thinking that I need to replace the stator. The heat that has been generated riding around the city probably wore off the wire coating and it only works at cooler temps. Everything else has been checked, I've become quite good at working on this bike and can't come up with any other solutions. No bad grounds, harness is ok, no shorts, water pump is good, fans are good. The bike may as well be new.

the FSM usually will show thread size and diameter of the puller.

That's the thing - I checked it and it doesn't :/ I even checked the parts number listing for the one in the FSM and it doesn't show the diameter. I'll just pull the housing and measure. It's either 18, 20 or 22
