    Hello Everyone,

As a kid I did some dirt bike riding and had a Bridgestone 175 for a while. About 40 years later I took the MSF basic rider course and got my license.

I considered myself a new rider and bought a new 2013 CBR500R. Had a lot of fun with it and learned how to ride again. This spring, I took it in for its oil change and came home with a 2015 white deluxe. It sounds impulsive, but I had been wanting one for a while. The local dealer only had red in stock, but I really wanted a white one. (My 500 was red.) Then I saw this white beauty sitting outside in their lot, and found out somebody just traded it in. Only had 2000 miles on it so I grabbed it.

Been a Honda fan for a long time and I am thrilled with this bike. Looks like some great info and people here, so looking forward to being a member. Blitz vfr1.JPG

That's why I do my own oil changes, wouldn't have a happy wife if I did that. lol
Congrats on the bike, you're going to enjoy it.

Thanks! Funny because as I went out the door my wife asked me if I was going to come home with a new bike. I said will you be pissed if I did, and she said no, so she left that door open. Everything was great until some jerk at her work, who knows very little about a lot of things, told her I bought a crotch rocket, but we are working through that.

    That Bridgestone 175
Was that from monkey wards back in the day?
Or maybe that was the Riverside no matter

Thanks! The Bridgestone was a hand me down from my older brother. I'm not sure where he got it but now that I think back, it probably fell off a truck. The Riverside was the one from Wards. (I had to google that) It was actually made by Benelli. My brother should have got me one of those too!

That's also funny. My wife calls mine a crotch rocket and won't even get on the back of it because of that. My friends wife thinks it's like sitting on a couch compared to the back of his CBR. If she was ever a passenger on your CBR, see how she likes the VFR instead.
