Definitely assault with a deadly weapon could be brought up against the car driver but the motorcyclist needs to turn himself in and file the charges I would imagine. Unless video is enough for the police/CHP to charge him. I thought it was reported that the car driver made the claim that he feared for his life, something about he thought the rider had a weapon or something.

There is no good outcome for the rider turning himself in..
I wouldn't ... especially as car tries to kill him.. - TWICE...
    Car then crashes = karma

The law here says otherwise. The only thing going in favor for him is that he has not been identified. If they do find him, he could be in more trouble than if he just copped up to it now. The Karma part I'll go along with.

Looks like vandalism followed by attempted murder to me. Instead of looking for the biker, their resources would be better allocated on getting the car driver's license pulled, indefinitely. That would make too much sense though.

People saying the rider should have stopped at the scene are out of their freaking minds. Dude just skated by a legitimate attempt on his life. He should have rolled into the nearest police station.

Does anyone know anything about the driver?

Even if the driver (and their attorney) gives a BS excuse that the noise startled them, resulting in the wreck (and the courts buy it), license should still be pulled.

If a slight thump makes you careen out of your lane, you shouldn't be driving. I've had plenty of things fly at and hit various vehicles over the years. Never once have I put a cage into a jersey barrier as a result.

I actually rubbed shoulders with a huge Dually truck and my helmet was touched by his side view mirror while lane splitting. After I passed him, I slowed down a bit, did a quick check and then went on my way. I don't recall swerving back into him, maybe self preservation kicked in! When I got to the job site, I actually had dirt on the shoulder of my jacket from I when I touched. There was also a little mark on the helmet where it touched his mirror. True story.

I have kicked a car before back when I had my 929. Bitch was getting into my lane and actually saw me. I was blowing the horn and she was looking at me but coming over anyway as if to say she didnt care where I went but she was coming over so I kicked her mirror off and rode of flipping her off.

The guy on the bike in the video did not cause that accident. He kicked the car which had ZERO affect on the car's handling. The driver of the car just swerved into the biker out of anger and caused the accident.
