and I have a V4 "problem". I love these things and can't stop collecting them. I'm in the process of picking up my first Interceptor, a 1986 VF1000R, and found this group doing an internet search. I plan on lurking more and making sure I do plenty of searches before I ask stupid questions but wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. Thanks for providing such a great resource!
Welcome to the group Mike, you've come to the right place, I've learned a great deal in just the short time I've been here
Mike: Please, please ask some stupid questions as they are the most fun to pounce on with sarcasm... or just read the answers to past posts. What V-4's have you ridden before? any pictures? Prosit!
Thank you for the welcome! Stupid questions are my speciality! I've got V30, V45 (both 700 and 750), and V65 Magna's along with V45 ( both 700 and 750) and V65 Sabre's. This is my first Interceptor but will eventually get a 500 and 750 to complete the family. My bikes are all riders and not very pretty. The only really pretty one I've got is my pristine little V30 Magna. The ones I ride the most are an '85 700 Magna and a V65 Sabre with full fairing and bags which is my touring bike. I'm amazed by the slightly different sound of the gear driven cams in the VF1000R versus the chain driven cams I'm used to. But nothing on earth sounds sweeter than a tuned V4 of any type. I'll try to upload some pics today. Thanks for asking!
